Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

My husband married me in this month January and later I came to know he is still to be divorced . He is a man of loose character always ignoring me and flirting with other girls late night . within three months of our marriage he started torturing me physically and mentally and forced me to leave his house . I came back to my parents place only to know he has enrolled on matrimonial sites with paid membership and looking for third wife . When approached his family , they abused me and my husband who is doctor by proffession threatened to take my life. He said i will kill you in such a way that nobody will be ever able to recognise how you died . As a doctor I know many such methods. He is a criminal by mature , mindset and his actions . Back home he has 18 legal criminal cases against him . I I just want this man to be sentenced for his criminal intentions and the fraud he did with me . I can only say he married me to satisfy his sexual lust and later abandoned me. is he mentally sick? I need justice and need guidance

It is painful to know. You need to file a criminal complaint with the local police where you live with your parents giving all these details with basic particulars of date and place of marriage. You must clearly mention the threat meted out to you in above words. You may also file a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act. In fact, you may take help of legal aid available free to all women from State Legal Service Authority of your state. The authority have their offices in all courts. each state has its web site. you may request for a woman lawyer

do you have the details of criminal cases. were you aware about those prior to your marriage. Is he a practicing doctor or employed. have you checked the record with Medical Council, as well
