Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan
kindly guide me in the situation when incident of crossfire occurred between two parties, one person from each side got killed and several injured, both partied wanted to settle outside court and did not want to lodge an FIR (in tribal areas particularly it happens), and both parties did not submit applications for lodging of FIR, should the police itself nominate the accused or the police (as a complainant) should lodge FIR against the unknown?

FIR can be lodged only on the bases of information received even if there is no complainant. [email protected]

there is no second opinion for an fir to be lodged, regardless if any complainant from actual aggrieved parties comes up for it or the police take up, on its own.
