Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan

what is the legal value of oath in court? I want to ask that if sufficient evidences are available against the accused and even than accused has taken the oath that he did not commit this crime, can court release him only due to oath (moral value of oath) even after having satisfied evidences?

Dear, Oath is alien to criminal law in force in Pakistan. court has no discretion to acquit the accused in circumstances when sufficient evidence is available on the record. whatever the factual situation there may be, court is bound under the law to proceed with the case in accordance with the evidence on the record and it can not go beyond that. For more consultation you can call me on 0333-8081297 or email me on [email protected]
