Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
My passport was impounded 2 years back due to a wrong verification certificate. I have provided all the information to police that this was due to a agent. The police has been unable to file a case since then and keep on delaying this citing different excuses. I am not sure what i can do in this respect. The police does not even have a charge sheet and it seems unlikely that they will have something soon.
I have got some information that if a charge sheet is not filed for a case within 3 years i can ask the court for a plea and get a NOC from there to process my passport. Is this correct or if someone can suggest me some more options
thanks in advance.
