Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
petition filed u/s.156(3) before magistrate and order also passed by magistrate to police FOR INVESTIGATION . Now both entered into compromise in police station during investigation and ready to withdraw complaint given in police station. now without registering FIR , could the police send staus report with compromise statement of parties to court and is it possible for magistrate for closing the petition WITHOUT FIR REGISTRATION.
