Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Police seized my payment 45 lacs which is in sharekhan trading ltd. against private person complaint number 150 but no F.I.R. has been registered ? can police seized bank accounts or 45 lacs rupees without F.I.R. and only by complaint ?

if there is an offence they have to register an FIR.But during an investigation they may take this as an precautionary step.file a written complaint and address a copy to the police commissioner.

There has to be specific direction of the court for freezing the accounts.it is highly unlikely that the police on its own freeze the bank account.we would like to go through the complaint to guide you further.
