Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan

can a polygraphic test be requested to court either by petitioner or accused party (against each other) in order to bring facts to court in robbery case. Is polygraphic test a reliable test upto court satisfaction?

there are some solid facts against the accused but they are simply denying the facts but they have no proof. petitioner has court certified documents in order to bring before court. even after having some solid evidences, can court order a polygraphic test? I heard that that polygraphy is not an exact science. In fact, to the extent that it is a science at all, it is one in its infancy and one which frequently produces incorrect results.

Dear, such kinds of tests are nothing but hearsay evidence being opinion of third person, courts often regard such kind of evidences provided that these are reliable/true and these are accepted as relevant and court shall decide how much value to be given to such piece of evidence. By provisions of Fair Trail Act 2013 all type of evidences are admissible which are produced or made or derived from modern technology. So you can move an application for proper order of the court regarding poly-graphic test.
