Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

In a Rape Case Police want my statement.They are saying to me that they will send a court notice to me, i am not accused,I am only the known of the victim...But police is forcing me to come to police station for statement,because victim girl has given my name in her favor.Police man saying to me to tell him my address so that they can send me a court notice..

Sir here is my two question..

1.Is this necessary to go for statement to police.

2.If they will send me a court notice then i have to go or i can refuse to make statement..

Please make a answer Thanks A lot..

You have to cooperate the society where are you living suppose if such any case would be with your closest and some other were present at the time can such person has to refuse to give statement, if yes, you are not to give statement, if no, you have to give the statement what ever you seen at the site.
