Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I send a cheque of Rs 50000 to the insurance company for new policy

but some how i dint able to clear the payment and the cheque was dishonour

Now the insurance company has filled a case against me under section 138

can the company do so and if yes can i be panalised for the cheque bounce

138 NI complaint is not maintainable . Please reply to the notice strongly and boldly through a lawyer at the earliest. You may drop in a detailed query at [email protected]
