Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Sir/ madam,
i had given my laptop to get the broken screen changed. The workers there copied a large amount of confidential data including some very personal photos and videos from it, without my permission, as screen change does not require the workers to put my hard disc in some other computer and take my data. Now, they are blackmailing me for money, and threatening me to post the photos and videos online. This will be very damaging for my reputation. What should i do?

immediately approach the police. record their conversation if possible and give the details to the police. dont sccumb to blackmail.

This is a serious issue you should immediately file a police complaint against them.
