hello sir..
i have been living with my sister in a rented room( owners live within the same flat). its a single small room with an attached washroom and no other amenities. The room full of cockroaches and bed bugs.. and there is always noise and smell coming out from cafes and the companies. We had paid an amount of Rs 9500 to the broker.. and we pay Rs8000 per month to the owner in advance. Neither the broker nor the owner told us about the insects.. We didnt made any contract with him as the broker was asking more amount...
now we are planning to shift from here in jan... but the owner is asking for an advance amount of Rs 16000 and is asking for bringing other tenants for the room. We pay him electricity bill of Rs 500 every month(which is included in the rent)... and he is asking us to pay more....
sir.. i am.new in pune... and i am a student... please help me as i am alwatlys in threat that the land lady will come and harass me..
1 Answer from Attorneys
File police complaint for harassment by landlord and mentioned therein that your landlord cheated you while not disclosing all the insectes etc. and now harassing you and not issuing you any payment receipt or agreement deed. but before this do one thing, send a blank letter in your name from any local post office and receive the same on the address where you are living, this will help you to prove that you are living at this address since long.
Good luck.
