Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
if a theft of two lakhs comitted by a known close friend is not reported to police for two years due to oral apologies by the thief then, can it be complained to Police now if the friend misbehaves or trying to take revenge for maligning him earlier ! IF there is no time limit for Police Complaint how to revive it now !

You may consider filing a civil suit for recovery but a criminal complaint to the police may not be maintainable.
