Legal Question in Criminal Law in India
Today, historical judgement delivered by SC quashing the Bombay Police Act (amendment),2005 which banned Dance bars in the State Of Maharashtra. I want to ask some queries about it which are as follows:
1) What is the fate of the cases pending in the courts as per this amendment?
2) As now this Act is quashed by SC, people who were punished as per this amendment, will be acquitted. But can they demand for compensation against Government Of Maharashtra?
