Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

My uncle(mother's brother) is insisting my mother to sign the will of my grandmother that she doesn't want to have a share in it. We are willing to do so but we want the papers back of a land(plot) which we purchased and whose paper we kept with my grandmother for good security (Not mortgage). But, they are saying that they have lost the papers. So, we are asking for an affidavit from them that they have not misused the papers in past. They are not willing to do so and giving us threats to suicide. They come at our place with iron rods at odd times like 1 AM to threaten us . If we don't open the door then they continue to ring bell, shout, abuse and give threats of suicide. We don't want to send them behind bars, but we want out safety. So, please advise what should we do to be on safe side.

you may file a civil suit for permanent and mandatory injunction in the city civil court.
