Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

My ex wife and me were divorced many years back. Despite my best efforts, she did not allow me to meet my daughter all these years. I have now come to know that she did not give my name as the name of the father when she got my daughter admitted in school and instead gave a fictitious name instead. When my daughter applied for her passport, PAN card etc, she forged/ altered the birth certificate since the name of the father on the certificate was mine.Except for the hospital and birth records, no where does my name appear in my daughters records. This has caused me tremendous mental trauma. Please advise as to whether a case of defamation can be made out against my ex wife (civil and crimminal), whether cheating is applicable and what other charges can be brought against her.

forgery can be applied. but better to leave it for the sake of your daughters carrier.
