Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Africa
Yesterday I was arrested for contempt of court for not complying to terms of a restraining order that I wasn't even aware of. I never got or signed for any such document. I was let off with a warning avidavit and told that they will finish their investigation, present it to the prosecutor and let me know. What could be the possible legal implications for me regarding this?

You don't have to sign for something for it to be served on you. If you can prove that you did not know about the restraining order you cannot be in breach of it.
