Charged with driving while disqualified and distracted driving a year ago in Ontario. Flew back to Alberta (been living) for work and missed my court date.
I am going to turn myself in, I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter that I have sole custody of, I am in school and work.
What type of sentence am I looking at facing? a fine or jail time (hoping not due to my circumstances)

The question doesn't provide enough detail. Where are you living? Where do you plan to turn yourself into? What offences are we talking about, a provincial regulatory offence of distracted driving together with the federal criminal charge of driving while prohibited or a provincial offence of driving while suspended?.
