Legal Question in Education Law in India
My sister is studying in a college. College management is demanding that she needs to stay in hostel only, if she wants to continue her studies there. My mother has taken a house for rent near the college and till now she was staying with my mother. But now the college management is demanding that she should come and stay in hostel.
Is it possible to compel her and make her stay in hostel ? Does the law allows a college to do that ?

College Authorities cannot force anyone to stay in hostel.
Approach the university whom college is affiliated and complain the same in writing and if not take any action then approach the law.
No it is illegal no one can compel her to stay in the hostel without her will. you may first approach the university if that doesn't help you can send legal notice to them
