Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am 28 years old female currently living in India.I am pursuing PhD at a reputed university and stay in hostel accommodation even after my wedding for which my husband had earlier agreed to. I got married in 2014, November. My husband is very unsupportive. During first few months dowry was a big issue for my in laws family. And now they are pressurising me to finish my study and start living with them. They did not allow me to talk to my parents and family and rarely allowed me to visit them on festivals. I bore this for more than a year. But I see no future still I tried to finish my study. Meanwhile my father in law went out publically against me. Now my father in law complained against me to local police that I harass them. What should I do?

1) In a preemptive attack and shield themselves against any DV or 498A cases

u may likely to file against them, they cleverly filed a counter case against u

is not at all tenable.

2) Immediately lodge FIR against them and file DV and 498A cases. Their case

shall not stand in a court of law. Ur oral unshaken testimony itself suffice.

3) U can also file for maintenance u/s125 CrPC.

4) Record all their conversations, SMS, facebook, whatsapp conversations and

any other evidences for ur future.

5) Consult an experienced able Family Law Attorney of repute to deal with the

case intelligently.
