Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hi, im a 28 yr old hindu man, wanting to marry a muslim girl of my same age. her parents do not want this.i do not want to get registered without the consent of my parents, which would come after a long time. If she talks at home, she is afraid she will be locked up at home, as she was the previous time she talked about it.is it possible we could possibly file a complaint with the police before talking to her parents, that in case she doesnt return after a day or two, i can go and take her back?

You can marry her under the Special Marriage Act. But in your case if you are having sufficient income and a job go ahead and marry her as per the prevailing law or as per the custom prevailing in your community in a temple or so, in front of some trusted friends and proceed to the Local Authority you will have to provide 2 Passport size Photos of both of you, Identity proof of both, 10th standard pass certificate to prove the age of both and two witnesses, thus you can register the marriage_ (The witness es should say say that the marriage was solemnized as per the custom, and ensure to teach them properly the custom prevailing in your community. ), IGo ahead if you are having a secured job to maintain both of you.
As it is a marriage between persons professing two different faiths, it is advisable to get married under Special Marriage Act.
Your problem is - you don't want to marry without consent - to that there is no legal solution.
