Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am 32 yrs old married women seperated and residing at my parent's house for 1.5 yrs. Last year my husband had mentally and physically abused me. my parents had no idea about all this. same day i went to my parents house to take back my son 3.5 yrs whom my husband had dropped and asked my mom to take him to doctor. my parents saw my condition and asked me to stay till my son gets fine. After 2 days my husband asked my sister to keep my son ready as he's coming to pick him up. We all thought that he might be coming to take him for weekend. hence we sent him with my husband. At evening he sent me a message that he's gonna take my son to his own place i.e. jalgaon & now he will stay with my MIL from now on. he left our town late night driving on his own with our son. however he met with a major accident next day early morning. in this accident only my son had a major injury. as soon as i was informed we went same day to jalgaon to meet my son. after the accident my husband has stopped allowing me to meet my son on the grounds that i am not a good mother. now my MIL has transferred to our house and taking care of husband & son. however they are not at all allowing me to visit my son. we've tried a lot but nothing was successful. i don't want to enter any court matters. do i have any other possible way that would my visitation in front of my husband? Or is there any law that would help me keep my husband pressurized and let me meet my son?can i file any basic complaint against him and get visitation rights?
