Legal Question in Family Law in India

Abt a year back, I had filed a case against husband for Domestic Violence and Manintenance of my child and me recently Interim maintenance was granted to my child and me. Now he has filed a divorce case at his home town. I stay at Mumbai and his home town is Karnataka. I received a summons for appearance at court with no petition copy.

It is difficult for me to find a lawyer at his place at such a small time. Can I send a registered post to the court granting for more time.
