Legal Question in Family Law in Lebanon
I need to get some advice regarding my daughter. She is 20 years old with Aspergers, Sensory Integration Disorder, Self injurious Behavior, Prior brain injury affecting her impulse control & cognition. I currently have guardianship of her until she is 21. She recently fell and re-injured her brain causing sever brain injury. She is now accessed to be approximately 18 months of age. We do not know how much she will recover at this point. She recently gave birth to twins very prematurely. One has passed away but the other is still in ICU but is expected to live.
The father lives in California and did sign the birth certificate. He was extremely abusive to her both in California and Colorado. I fear for the baby's life if he were to take him back to CA when he is released from the hospital.
I am looking into extending the guardianship
What options do I have to keep him from the baby?
