Legal Question in Family Law in Pakistan

AoA,

I want to ask that can union council issue any notice to husband (without court orders) in any matter between husband & wife. My wife has given application for maintenance for herself in uc and naib qasid of uc has called us for meeting. he said that we have received an application for maintenance and we will issue a notice to our address if we will not appear. I want ti know that what is the legal value of this application and call from uc? are they authorized to treat and accept like this for maintenance? I heard that family court is the proper forum for maintenance and uc has nothing to deal with this. is it true?

Dear brother

as per my legal knowledge the union counsil are empower,d to settle the issues between husband and wife by the famil laws of pakistn .

There are arbitration councils in union based.

So dont hasitate to appear and clarify your situation.
