I have two businesses in partnership with my mother. Can I transfer one property in joint name(me and my mother) and another property in my wife's name

Hi, At first you will have to assess the goodwill of both the partnership businesses. After that you will have to valuate both the businesses separately. Then you will have to find out your mother's share in each. Your mother's share in one or both businesses must fit the share in the joint property you are transferring in joint name or else it will entail objections from other of her heirs. Your wife will become owner independently with your or her funds. In fact her ownership should not overlap/intermingled with your/her funds and your mothers'
