Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am being cheated by a boy promising that he will marry and now after engagement he is rejecting marriage and spoiling name saying I am bad charactered but it is not at all true,I am being treated badly by relatives bcos of his lies and I am really good and dont have bad spots in my life and i asked him to check my call details and to check from all ways but he is lieing and rejecting marriage and saying so many likes about me,so how can law help me ??

Firstly you will have to file a criminal case against him u/s 415/417 of the IPC. Secondly a civil case for breaching the promise to marriage and claim damages. In India any physical contact between a couple in such a breach case does not amount to Rape, However you may file a criminal defamation u/s 499/500 IPC as well for the acts he is doing currently. It will be better if you send a legal notice to him as per the aforesaid opinion
