Legal Question in Family Law in India
My cousin sister has had a very, very bitter experience from her 7 years of marriage from where she has 2 kids, ages 5+ and 2. Now finally she has decided to take divorce, we all are happy with her this decision. She is a very well educated lady who can earn good for her and her 2 kids. But,we are concerned about some queries:
1. If she gets a really good life partner who accepts her with her 2 kids, after how many days of divorce she can remarry this person?
2. I only know that naturally her surname after 2nd marriage will be changed, but what about her 2 kids' surnames? we all would want to change their surnames too, but can it be done and if yes how?

She can marry the next day after seeking decree for divorce by mutual consent from the court her husband can give consent to change surname of the children.
