Legal Question in Family Law in India
My daughter has lodged a complaint with a police station in Bangalore about the harassment, dowry demand and physical and mental torture to her by her husband's father and step mother. My daughter and her husband are in excellent terms and residing in the ground floor of their own house. The Police in jurisdiction area have given an acknowledgement to the complaint but are yet to initiate any action against the in laws even after 4 days on the reason that their Senior Inspector is on an official duty out of station. Can i accept their reason and how do i follow up this for taking FIR? Kindly guide.
