Legal Question in Family Law in United Arab Emirates

Dear Advisor,

I am an Indian and working in UAE for 2 years practicing Christian faith and my fiancé is a Srilankan nationality whose is also working in UAE for 8 years and practicing Islam . we have decided to get married here in UAE in indian or srilankan embassy . our family is not willing to support us for this marriage .

Kindly help us with the procedure to get married in UAE and the time period

Hi,

Have perused the contents of your query. In my view, it would not be possible to get your marriage registered in the Indian Consulate as your fiance is a muslim by religion and belongs to another country. The consent of parents of both parties and various other documents would also be required.
