Dear Lawyer,
What document to you need your first wife to sign if you are planning on taking a second wife,. Also could you clarify whether she needs to sign it in front of a witness for example in presence of a lawyer or notary ?

What you need to take before accepting second wife is the consent of the first wife. No document is necessary according to law. Nevertheless you can take the consent in written form. In that case witness is must. It will be better to have a notarised document.
