Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear sir,

I am Raghava from Hyderabad. My Brother has been married 3 years back. She expect my brother has to settle in their own village but my brother refused. So she went to her mother's house 1 year 5 months back. We went several times to their house several time with my ( Elders who did this marriage ) but She refused to come back and demanding for money . Can we proceed legally (or) can we settle this issue with my religion sangam people ( Kula Peddalu). Most of my relatives advising to proceed in Kula sangam. Please advice us how can we proceed with Kulasangam with out any legal issues in further.

whatever you do please ensure that in case compromise is reached for the parties to seperate please file a divorce petition. no relegion settlement of divorce is recognised by the court.
