Are a devorced parent allowed to take their 16year old son staying with her in Jhb and move to Tanmzania for 6 months or longer without concent of the father?

Generally you have to act in the best interests of the child and those interests may not be served by taking him to another country and thereby stopping his father from having contact with him. It also depends on the terms of your Divorce Settlement and whether that catered for this type of possibility.
