Legal Question in Family Law in India
Divorce without alimony
My mother passed away in 2001 due to heart attack. We are 3 children 2 daughters and 1 son. I am the eldest daughter and my 2 siblings are still studying.
After my mother passed away, my father married another woman in 2003, who was a divorcee herself.
She tortured us in all aspects she could and when I got ill she deserted us on her own in fear of that she will be blamed for my ill health and after deserting she and her relatives threatened my father of killing us.
In 2011 she applied for a divorce with alimony. She herself is MA,BEd. but quit her job for the alimony as she had done in her previous marriage.
In 2013 the court has ordered my father to pay 3.25L as alimony.
My father has 5L as yearly income and he has 5 yrs left before his retirement and in those 5 years he has to get me and my younger sister married. He has been taking care of us since my mother passed away in 2001.My younger brother is studying in school and my sister is in college.
Please suggest me how can we appeal to the court that we are not in a state of paying alimony.

Alimony is to be paid by husband and not children.
