Once a divorce has been granted can a wife file a 498a case.If yes, what are the implications.

One of my friend is facing trial in 498a case, the case has been filed after he got divorced from his wife

Your facts are incomplete. Divorce could possibly be obtained ex parte also without contest from the wife. Therefore, an appropriate opinion may be given only on the basis of full facts.
