Legal Question in Family Law in India
Our family is undergoing a separation process, wherein , me and my brother have been asked to give away our interests in all properties belonging to us and our family . This family agreement is made on following conditions :
1.In lieu of all our properties, we will be given equal sum of money which has been decided at 50 lakhs.
2.We both will have to leave the city and never come back and relocate to a new place.
3.We will have to break all ties with our mother and we cannot make any contact with her physically or telephonic.
I would like to know is this kind of agreement legal. If we sign it to settle things , then in future if we talk to our mother or come back to the city , what legal action can be taken against us.
