Legal Question in Family Law in India

My father aged 79 years has filed a case against me and my brother under IPC 125 for his maintenance . He has fixed deposit of about Rs. 6,35,000 in his name in SBI on 6th june 2015 when there was 1st summons to us in court. will his appeal be cancelled as he has such amount with him

you have to prove that he has sufficient source of income
