Legal Question in Family Law in India
One of my female friend, had a relationship 1 year back, her boyfriend had made her sign a stamp paper ,stating that she d/o of such n such , is marrying to that guy , with her own free will, and also a lot of things have been written there like she doesn't have any complaints with his family n all! Now, that guy is harrasing my friend on the basis of that stamp paper, that she is his wife, n she will have to be with him! My, question is that , can just by signing on a stamp paper (as she didn't go to any court or registrar office) a marriage can happen? If yes, then what's it's remedy, if no, then what she should do to protect herself from him, also she doesn't have that stamp paper, as he never produced the same in front of her after signing made by her, and she also doesn't want this matter to spread to her family! Please , provide an appropriate solution!

this is not a legal marriage. she can approach the police or engage an expert advocate, he will assist him to get rid of this situation and teach a lesson to such miscreant.
