I filed for divorce with my husband 3 months ago.. the marriage has not been consummated as Rukhsati has not yet taken place. i got Khula from him today in a local court. during all this period he did not try to contact me even once.both of us belong to Sunni sect . there is no iddat for me but i still have to get my divorce certificate from union council where our nikkah got registered.is there any chance to reconcile?i heard people saying khula does not take place unless husband utters the words of talak.if he wants to reconcile.. within how much time period he can do that and how?

yes there is 90 days time to reconcile, when the union counsil receives the court order from you ,it will attempt as many times as it thinks fit but not less than three to reconcile the matter between the spouses. if it succeed then or if you two both by your own attempt decides to reconsile , then khula shall be revoked.

2. khula is itself a divorce (when the union counsel attempts to reconsile within 90 days , and if it fails this khula will attain maturity).

In your case there is no need of iddat period.

You can get the talaq certificate from your union council also after 90 days.

There is no need to uttering the word TALAQ from husband.

after Talaq certificate is issued u can not reconcile except Re marriage.

and remember for re marriage after Khula there is no need of (Halala) marry with a third person.
