Legal Question in Family Law in India

My friend is heading a divorce she has a kid 3.5 yrs old. If she plans for remarriage will she have to give up the custody of her child. As per my readings in few judgments (2006) passed by Supreme Court even if a female remarries again she should not be devoid of the child custody. Can you please provide an answer.
