Legal Question in Family Law in India
My friend was married to an NRI in India three years ago according to Hindu law. The husband deserted her and left India. The girl filed a suit for annulment as later the girl found that facts of husband were not true. In these three years the delivery of summons went to her husband at his given places but there was no service report received and thus the delay. My friend sought for mutual consent from her ran away husband and requested him for divorce mutually. He replied to the girl to talk with him on phone. But the girl said to communicate via email. And the husband refused to talk via email. And last wrote that either talk or forget about divorce. She has written to him many times but now he doesn't reply. What should she do. Court proceedings are taking long time and she wants this to end soon. Also she is not seeking any alimony from him and wants no fight. Why is her husband not responding. And why no service report of summons has not been received till now. Can her lawyer plead for ex parte.

what is the problem in her talking to him?? you can record the conversation even. The delay maybe due to ego issues which can be sorted out. As for the matter I will need to see the ordersheet before I can comment on the next step. for further query contact 9312411481.

There is Hauge convention and if the husband's country is signatory to it you can send notice through Hauge convention.
