Legal Question in Family Law in Lebanon

hello,i am a man from lebanon who got married two years ago.i have a 5 month old daughter.i ve been having problems with my wife from before marriage but went through marriage thinking things will change.we even had a daughter. now my wife want a divorce and we dont feel.like living together anymore .we were married in maronite church. how can divorce happen in this case?

Dear Sir,

If you couldn't have a good marriage, try to have a successful divorce.

Since you both agree to divorce, you'd need to agree between you on the following:

1.The custody of your daughter

2. Her alimony

3. The right of visit of the second parent

4. The distribution of the common goods (if any)

Once you agree on the above points, one of you submits a request of divorce based on chosen reasons and the other party acknowledges, and the Maronite Church will pronounce the divorce.

In that way, you obtain the divorce and preserve a good relation with your ex.wife.
