against my husband and my In-laws. They have been pestering me for dowry and regularly giving me mental and physical torture ever since I got married on November 18, 2011 due to which my health is regularly deteriorating ever since my marriage was fixed as since then they are giving me torture .It was a love cum arranged marriage after a 8years of long affair .They have also given me life threats that if I do not give a divorce they will kill me and my family. I had also submitted an online complaint to NCW on 15, 16 November 2012 but unfortunately I did not got any revert from them. My husband always threaten me that knows the law and his family member have contacts very high in police department so nobody can touch them even if he kills someone he always boosted and ensure that he hits me in a way that there no physical marks on my body he use to hit on my chest as he knew I have I breathing problem and he use to pull my hair, slap me, choke my neck. My husband forced me pay all his credit card bills which were used by him and his family members for the wedding preparations and purchases done by them .I have mentioned in my complaint to NCW that he forced me pay a sum of 2 lakh and 20 thousand rupees in the first three months of our marriage My mother-in-law, father-in-law and all my sister-in-laws have been harassing me and torturing me in one form or the other so that either I end my own life or die because of the physical and mental torture.
In February this year, my husband along with his Jija (Sanjeev Malhotra from Ambala) had sent two people to my parents� house to threaten my parents. They wanted my parents to agree to their terms or they will take some extreme step. My husband�s Jija had given me guarantee that my husband will not beat me again but that was not true. He still continued to beat me even while I was down with typhoid fever or over a month he beat me and forcefully threw me out of the house. After that I came to my parents place on 2 July 2013 and then on July 04, 2013, he loaded a truck and left the house he did not even inform me about anything and on 6 July 2013 he called me at 10.34 am and told me that as I was not giving him divorce so he has picked his luggage and moved out of the house in Delhi and as per the laborers in the adjacent house when he had came to pick his luggage there was a woman and a child along with him and since then his number is continuously switched off and even my in laws are not picking up the calls . I would request you to please help me as I have been going through mental and physical torture since last 1 year and 9months of my marriage.
Please help me and let me know what should I do and what are my legal options. Should I lodge an FIR in my hometown which is in Punjab where I got married or in Gurgaon where me and my husband were staying on rent and working.

dear client u have to file dowry case with police under sec 498-a for physical and mental torture in place where u receive the torture. u can also file domestic violence case for protection from them in court. u can file divorce petition on the ground of cruelty. for any legal help call me on 9422611385

I agree with the above advice. You have all the options available. Make up your mind and approach the concerned authorities for appropriate legal action.
u can lodge FIR & u can file case for maintenance as well & u can got rent for residence under domestic violence ,if u have threat of ur life u can file petition for protection before High court
