Legal Question in Family Law in India

Me and husband are separated and I don't want to take any help or alimony from him for me or either for my daughter. we will soon start with the legal proceedings but I want my daughter's surname to be changed to mine maternal surname since I have to get her documents also changed in school(she has just started in Nursery).

I am in no mood or plan to remarry anyone and will simply take care of my daughter but want her and me to be completely out of his family ties.

Can you please guide me how can I get my daughter's surname changed? Please help!
