how can you know if/when your spouse files for a divorce without telling you

The law is that divorces filed in Guyana have to be personally served on the other party by a Marshal of the Court. However an application can be made to the Court to serve by posting to an address abroad or by publishing the divorce notice in the newspapers.
Searches can be made at the Supreme Court to check whether a divorce petition has been filed.
