there is no procedure to retain the maiden surname as using your surname is your choice and there is no legal impediment for the same..Continue using your maiden surname after marriage and for new accounts etc continue with the earlier name.

You can continue using your maiden name and surname and not use your husband's surname post marriage. You don't need to tag along your husband's surname to your surname as well. You can retain your maiden name. The procedure is required only when you have to change your name/ surname
