In reply to your query, we understand that you and your wife agree on the divorce and would like to seek the quickest way to get the divorce, noting that you get married in Cyprus, then after you have had a religious marriage in Lebanon as per the Orthodox Church's rules.

In order to be able to reply to your question, would you kindly advise which marriage was registered in Lebanon.

If it is the civil one, then the Civil Courts in Lebanon would have jurisdiction. You can accordingly have a mutual agreement with your wife and ratify it through the Court.

However, if it is the religious one, then the Courts of the Orthodox church will have jurisdiction to rule on the case; and therefore you would need to agree on the causes of divorce and present a fake case by one of the parties, where the other party would accept it.
