there is no impediment in converting the proprietorship to partnership firm, The partnership deed has to be prepared and registered.

two or more up to 20 may join to form a partnership under the Indian Partnership Act. for converting the proprietorship to partnership, the proprietor has to join hands with one or more persons to convert it into partnership
