Legal Question in Family Law in
How should a man safeguard himself if he found out recently that his wife is suffering from a severe personality disorder and she and her family is harassing him persistently for almost about everything. The wife and her family are poor with a questionable past while the husband has been very consistent in fulfilling her/their needs. But now he fears that he might lose his job, his own family and his property and securities. Also, is their a way to safeguard against Sec 496A. Pls suggest the precautionary steps the husband can take right away.

The husband should first make himself free from the hangover of his too huge ego as he seems to be suffering from a superiority complex. The issue of 'questionable past' of his wife and her family may be a stumbling block in his mental process. Try to think with a clean slate considering your wife as a 'human' who may be worthy of respect and equal treatment. The best solution would, therefore, be an amicable settlement.
the husband cannot take any precautionary steps and he has to act according to the action taken by the wife. in case she files 498a or DV case, the husband needs to defend the same by seeking anticipatory bail and in case of DV, by filing an appropriate reply. in such cases, its a war of wits and is won by keeping patience.
