Legal Question in Family Law in India
I did marriage before one of year, After two months of the marriage, my father in law died and I and my wife went to their home and my wife asked to stay for 10 days there and I allowed. After 10 days when i went and called she refused to come with me. Like this, one and half year went. I, personally as well as through social media like village elders tried. But she didnt turn up. Every time her brother and mother used to say ' you go... e ill drop her in your home' or 'we have to ask elder son in law'. But nothing happened. Then, for a long time, there was no communication too. Once i told them I will be forced to approach through law. Then also they didnt send. But on one day, they lodged a petition in the women's police. The police called for inquiry and didnt say what was the petition. My wife and their family, after 1 1/2 year, talked rubbish things like bad about my family and discussed even the bed room matters openly. I as shocked to know that my wife discussed every bedroom matter very clearly with their family members and even with the lady police. On the other hand, they insisted me to throw away my aged mother and to take her to my work place. I asked after 1 1/2 year gap, i didnt think such a demand and requested some time and asked her to stay for three months in my home. But they refuesed and began to thereaten me through various group of people from their side. Finally, they demand Rs 10 lakhs ransum from me to give away from her. I am a teacher in a private college.
In this condition, how can I safe guard myself from them? If I approach the court, hat wil be the consequences and results? Please help me to come out of this turmoil and give a suitable legal suggestion.

try to settle the matter amicably before approaching the court of law. the laws are mostly in girl s favour thus courts should be the last option. in case the mediation fails, you may post again for legal remedies.
