I got married in bandra on6 nov 2015 & it was love marriage. We were dating each other since 2010. In 2015 year my parent fixed my marriage with some other man & this thing my boyfriend get to know & he came to mumbai on 6th nov2015 to mumbai from bangalore & we got married & i went to bangalore along with him for couple of day & returned to mumbai on 9nov 2015 to resume my office & waited for him to fix everything. But it was too delayed from his side then I decided to go Bangalore & fix up the things.I move to Bangalore permanently on 5 august 2016 & then we are started living together. But within no time my husband started abusing me physically & mentally. Every day he use to drink alcohole & chatting with many girls & flirting with them whole night & if I used to ask stop this act, He again end with beating & abusing me. Every now & then he started insulting me, abusing me, beaten up me very badly like animal , pulled my hair, snatched my chain, my dresses because of his many affairs.He used to talk bad about me with his collegues & friends & he never informed in his office & collegues he is married. He hide this identity from everyone. after his so much of torching I decided to take help from police & his family. I went to police station & complained about him & asked police to explain my husband & his family. after that his family called him Udupi his hometown & he was there for 3 days not telling me when he going to return.Every day I use to go police station & make call from police number to my husband. Tuesday 23 may 2017 I called my husband & his brother answer from his phone & started abusing me very badly & threatened me that ghar me ghuske marenge saali tujhe & all bad word he used. For saving my life I informed police about this & straight away I came to Mumbai my parent house. Kindly suggest me what action I can take against my husband & his family.

Ravi hides our relationship always from his friends & family. When I conceived he forced me to abort my child give false assurance of our futher.He never gave to me our marriage certificate & marriage photos. All details he kept along with him. Only I have the scanned copy of our document.

First of all, since your marriage took place at Mumbai, please do get certified copies of your marriage certificate. If photographer was from Mumbai, and you have access to him, get photos from the photographer. Also gather the evidence of your conception, if possible and also collect the medical certificate of MTP. It will be advisable that you file a complaint under section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act against Husband, his brother and other relatives who are involved in your torture. Please note that being a woman you are entitled to free legal aid and assistance including of a free lawyer when you approach the Maharashtra state legal Service authority. for that you may go to a district court near to your place of residence. You apply for free legal aid. For application all you need is to fill up a simple form and paste your picture. You will then get a lawyer. You may request a lady lawyer if you so desire.
